Moving on to more local news! Congratulations to Singapore for hosting the first Youth Olympic Games, it’s definitely a significant milestone that would bring pride in our nation. It’s very ironic on how we have progressed from a small kampong village all the way to become a first-class city in such a short period of time, kudos! to our government for paving the way for us!

Wow… I still have 2 hours more before my next lecture… WHAT SHOULD I DO? Well… thankfully NgeeAnn equipped with awesome facilities that have made these moments so interesting, I might be popping down to “Studio 27” where I could engage in some RPG games in our own school’s LAN-Shop at absolutely no charge! Apart from gaming, i could get some indoor exercise with the “Nintendo Wii” and not to forget “Playstation 3”. Or perhaps for the music enthusiast how about some Jamming in our own “Jamming Studio” fully installed Sound Proof with Recording Studio!
As they always say: “Time flies when you’re having fun”

Lastly… How can I forget?

time really fies huh, from RED camp, to RED camp special program, to release of JAE/JPSAE results and even the results of appeal are out.

just want to let you guys know that whatever the results are, where ever you are going to study, we (your SLs and I) are still supporting y’all. just remember we’re behind you guys. so press on, study hard and we wish you all the very very very very (x10000000) best for your future endeavours. we’re still friends aren’t we

anyway chinese new year is coming up really really soon. excited huh! all the good food and red packets and holidays. well for me, i still have to study for my end of semester exams coming right up after chinese new year. you guys out there, enjoy your chinese new year! for those who don’t celebrate chinese new year, have a good rest!

when school starts, it’ll be quite hectic i reckon. okay some of you might have started school, so hahaha. for those studying in polytechnics, ENJOY YOUR LAST FEW MONTHS OF HOLIDAYS. cherish it

JAE Application has closed and we really hope everyone has ranked their choices wisely! Things are really getting busy in school for all your student leaders too. Regardless, it’s really nice to see some of you meeting up together with your SLs in school to go through your JAE application together. That’s the RED Camp spirit we are talking about! (: Totally gets your heart all warmed and fuzzied, does it not?

Remember, regardless of the outcome, we always walk with you!

Sooo many tribes have had their (multitude) of outings already, coming up on the RED Camp blog, until the JAE results’ release, shall be posts on the individual tribe outings! Keep your eyes peeled (: It’s like SPRCWS (you guys still remember what this is right?!) & nostalgia all over again!

I hope that you did well for your GCE O Levels.

This is the period for the JAE (Joint Admission Exercise) & JPSAE (Joint Polytechnic Special Admission Exercise) application, so here are some tips I want to share:

• Ensure that you meet the minimum entry requirements for the courses you are applying.
• Rank your choices according to these criteria. For the first four choices, pick the courses you really want to get in. The following four choices should be those that you are interested, and have a good chance of getting into. You can fill in the last few choices with less competitive courses you qualify for.
• Take advantage of your Co-Curricular Activity (CCA) points. For A1 & A2, you can deduct two points from your ELR2B2 (English Language + 2 Relevant Subjects + 2 Best subjects) aggregate. For B3-C6, one point is deducted.
• Maximise all 12 choices, even if you are sure that you will get the first few choices.
• If you have outstanding talent/achievements or strong aptitude/passion - for example, in leadership, entrepreneurship, sports, the arts, community service and academic-related areas - please consider applying for JPSAE alongside your JAE application. You need not pay a separate application fee.
• Cut-Off Points is the NET aggregate score of the last student posted to a course. It is an indication of how popular a particular course was in the previous JAE exercise and guides you in deciding which course to select.

For Direct Polytechnic Admission (DPA) applicants, if you have met the minimum requirements & minimum aggregate, you need not apply for JAE & JPSAE. Your package will come either today or tomorrow, and you’ll be starting your Ngee Ann Preparatory Programme this week.

It may not have been the RED Camp Special Program yet but we sure had seen many of you through these 2 days already and boy has it been awesome! There are many things up through the Open House! The word was on the street that just one day is simply not enough to go through all the major highlights we have here at Ngee Ann! So if you haven’t had enough of our highlights, be sure to come down tomorrow as well, and for those who have signed up for RED Camp Special Program, we definitely have an exciting lineup of activities planned for you, soooo be excited; be VERYYYY excited just as we are to see you guys tomorrow!

Besides the RED Camp Special Program, we also have our Adventure Park, m:idea Youth Choice Awards (celebrities including Jamie Yeo, Justin Ang & Derrick Hoh coming down!), Find Your Identity Workshop, Teenage Photoshoot, Movie Under the Stars, Parents Seminar, Studio recording and of course, our plethora of activities under our various academic schools! (:

Look forward to seeing you guys tomorrow, it’s going to be a long exciting day for all of us!

i don’t know about you, but i can’t really wait for Open House!! It’s already pass 12am (time as of me typing this, hahahahaha), so techically, Open House is just a few hours away!!

I can’t wait to see all of you awesome people again! it’s just 2, well about to be 2 more days to the Red Camp Special Program and i know this is the best time you guys can catch up with your SLs and your fellow red campers!!

I bet all of you can’t wait to watch movies under the stars with your awesome fellow red campers and SLs! well, i can’t wait for it too! Not only that, there are also highlights that you should look forward to!
